SADD - Students Against Destructive Decisions
SADD's mission is accomplished by creating, equipping, and sustaining a network of student-run chapters in schools and communities focused on peer-to-peer education. SADD fosters a sense of belonging and promotes resiliency, leadership, and advocacy skills so that young people make positive life decisions that will carry them throughout life.
Belvidere High School SADD welcomes students from all grade levels. The requirements to join are a yearly $5.00 fee (sent to SADD National) and a willingness to make a commitment to making and promoting the best choices in all situations. Meetings and regular participation are required of all members. A calendar with specific meeting dates will be posted at the start of the school year. Meetings will occur 1-2 times a month at lunch. In addition, SADD hosts at least one campaign a month to promote the mission and values of SADD National.
