2025-2026 Board Goals

Goal 1: Ensure a Current, Compliant, and Effective Policy Manual Through a Comprehensive Policy Review

Objective: Partner with Strauss Esmay and/or the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) to conduct a policy “wellness check,” with the goal of identifying and updating all policies that are five years or older to ensure compliance with current laws, regulations, and best practices.

Goal 2: Develop and adopt a Board of Education Norms and Protocols document through collaboration and training with the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) to strengthen governance effectiveness and promote cohesive board operations.

Objective: Engage all board members in an NJSBA-facilitated workshop process to create, refine, and adopt shared Board Norms that establish clear expectations for communication, conduct, and decision-making.

Goal 3: Revise and adopt updated District Mission and Vision Statements that reflect the community’s values, priorities, and aspirations for student success, developed through an inclusive process facilitated by the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) and guided by the new Superintendent and Board of Education.

Objective: Engage the Board of Education, district staff, families, students, and community stakeholders in an NJSBA-facilitated process to collaboratively review and update the district’s Mission and Vision
Statements, ensuring alignment with the district’s strategic direction and educational goals.
