At Oxford Street School we offer foreign language instruction beginning at 4th grade. The New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards establish that world languages are a necessary component of learning in this global environment.
An introduction to Spanish is offered to the students in grades 4 -6. Starting with grade 7, the students are able to select a course of study in either Spanish or French.
Use these sources to help with your study of world language.
- Foreignword.com offers word translation, links to dictionaries for more than 70 languages, and names for countries in 15 different languages.
- Vocabulary Trainer offers the opportunity to test your knowledge of basic vocabulary in either Spanish or French.
