The Basic Skills program is designed to provide students with additional instruction in Language Arts and Math. Students in grades 4 and 5 receive in class support 2 periods a week in each subject area. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 receive additional instruction 2 periods per week in during their creative writing lab period. In addition to teaching basic skills I am also in charge of all state testing for grades 4 – 8. Any questions regarding testing or score reports from the tests may be directed to me at the above phone number or email address. In our efforts to help students prepare for the standardized state testing we have purchased an internet-based program called Study Island. Students may access this program at home by logging on to studyisland.com. They will need their username and password. Please contact me with any questions.
