Welcome to the 4th Grade team page. This is another year of transition for your children. Our goal is to make this year an exciting and motivating experience for your children into the middle school environment. Most of our instruction takes place in one classroom; however, your children do go out for specials (art, music, library, technology, physical education.) Please see the individual pages for information on what is taught in those classrooms. This page will provide you with an overview of 4th grade curriculum. It is not comprehensive but we wanted you to understand the basis for what your child will be learning. Please remember that all learning takes place in steps. Children need to be able to construct their own meaning of information from prior learning. Language Arts We use a literature infused curriculum to aid in attaining literacy. This is a useful site to help your child with literature selections. Newbery Award Winners or look at the page for best selling children's books. All children can write, even at an early age. Mathematics Your child can use this site to increase their basic math skills. Science
