		| Parents Home | Academic Achievement Policy | Discipline | Attire | Rights and Responsibilities |   Academics Grading Schedule for the Middle School Grades 4-6         A=90-100% B=80-89% C=74-79% D=60-69% F=Below 60% Grades 7-8         A=92-100% B=83-91% C=74-82% D=65-73% F=Below 65% Grades 4 & 5 Students are generally in a single classroom teacher with the exception of specials such as art, music and library. The 5th grade is using a modified block schedule for teaching social studies and science. Grade 6 Students in this grade are given a locker in the high school main wing and begin to switch classes to facilitate the transition to high school. The academic achievement standards are increased and they must satisfactorily complete 75% of their major academic courses (math, science, language arts, and social studies) with a minimum 60% average. Additionally, students must successfully complete four out of five special curricular courses (art, physical education, library, music, and technology) with a minimum 60% average. Grade 7 & 8 The bar is raised for these years; students are expected to satisfactorily complete 75% of their major academic courses (math, science, language arts, and social studies) with a minimum 65% average. Students must also successfully complete five out of seven special curricular courses (art, physical education, health, music, foreign language and technology), with a minimum 65% average.
