Oxford Street Elementary is a hybrid school. The school is responsible for educating children in the upper elementary ages and early adolescents. The school creates an environment that eases the transition from the primary grades to the high school. The population of the school could be considered to be tweeners, because they are between everything.

The middle school provides a venue to meet the needs and characteristics of students during early adolescence. The experience deals with the full range of intellectual and developmental needs.
