Balance your science education and take physics!
Course Overview
Physics includes the study of measurement in the metric system, kinematics, Newton's laws of motion, linear and circular motion, simple harmonic motion, work, power, energy and machines. Through these topics, students will gain knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of two dimensional motion.
Students need to be proficient at algebra and should have taken or should be taking pre-calculus or calculus. A scientific calculator is needed for this course. Honors physics will involve a more in-depth study of the topics in the syllabus. Additional special topics will also be included.
