Reasons the Civil War Broke Out and Events That Led to War

Comical Slavery

Some of the main causes of the Civil War include social and economic differences between the southern and northern states.
The southern states relied on their farms and plantations whereas the north relied on their factories. The states were also
against the federal rights. They could not agree, and eventually Virginia and Kentucky wanted to nullify laws. Slavery was
also a cause. The north was against it, and the south could not really survive without it. The Southerners relied on slavery
for their profit. The growth of the Abolition Movement was also a big factor. Every day, the north became more and more against
slavery, and the people began to change their opinion on slavery. More people became against it. The election of Abraham Lincoln
was also one of the major causes of the war. The people of the south believed that Abraham Lincoln sided more with the Northerners,
and their beliefs. Even before he became president, seven of the southern states had seceded.
