at BHS has taken another language at some point during their high school
years. Have you ever wondered what it
would be like to become fluent in a language and live in the country where it
is spoken? Suzanne Chevrel got to do
just that! Maybe you got to know
Suzanne, an exchange student from France, while she was here in Belvidere for a
month....
The
2010 Belvidere High school Softball season started in the beginning of March, and
girls came into the season optimistic and willing to try their hardest. For
their efforts, many were rewarded. Some girls were cut, but they kept good
attitudes through it all and most are determined to try out next year. In the
end, there were a total of about 50 girls in the softball program....
As many of you may know, Belvidere High School’s theater department put on a performance of the musical Fiddler on the Roof in March. Audiences who attended any of the three shows saw amazing performances, but they did not see the largest part of the group’s effort: what was done behind the scenes....
If you haven’t heard by now, I was recently nominated for a Freddy Award for “Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role” for my role as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. I must say this is quite an honor; out of over twenty schools that participate in the Freddy Awards, I was one of seven nominees chosen for this category....

As you walk down the halls you may have noticed the increasing amount of students who are wearing 46 rescue shirts or any kind of firefighting shirt? Its something I have noticed as a student of BHS. This may not be new news to me but it is to some other people. This increase in firefighting t-shirts are because recently Warren County is testing the next batch of firefighters and EMT’s (emergency medical technicians). This is not an easy task to complete and it is something I am quite aware of myself....
