Summer!
by Justin KieferSunday, May 16 2010
As
we begin to close out this school year, I can’t help but think of the summer
months ahead (hence the pictures). The
topmost one I took in Aruba (although it came out a little blurry), and the
bottom one I took in Boston. Where would you rather be?
Sure,
we will all enjoy a much needed break from school, but those of us who are
seniors will be heading off into a new world. Moving on is very difficult. More on that later….
That
being said, The Scarlet Scoop staff
is always ready to tell you about something new here at Belvidere High School.
Alison Bancroft talks about Suzanne Chevrel, Belvidere’s latest foreign
exchange student from France, and Belvidere’s Running Club (what a great way to
get in shape and enjoy the outdoors)! Coleen Carney once again steps up to the
plate and talks about her experiences in softball as a freshman. David
Yannarella gives us his final thoughts on our school musical Fiddler on the Roof, and also talks
about a local academic competition known as WHAM. Jessica Wasser, a senior,
takes in the sights of spring season, and Natasha Kowaleuski sat down with Ryan
McCrea to learn what it takes to become an EMT and a firefighter.
Summer
is here, and with it, the feeling of the end. Upset? Excited? Ready to hit the
pool? Either way, be sure to check out this month’s issue!
