The Pennsylvania Farm Show

Every year the Belvidere FFA students are welcome to attend The Pennsylvania Farm Show. The cost is about ten dollars a

person to cover the bus trip unless you have sold at least eight cases of fruit. It is a day long trip to the Farm Show and usually

afterwards we stop at Cabela's on the way back if there is enough time.

What's There

At the Farm Show there are numerous displays, places to shop, shows to watch, and things to eat. Some displays at the show are

the famous butter sculpture, different farm equipment, and lots of livestock. There are lots of clothes, accessories, and livestock for

purchase while at the show. There is also the Equine Arena and the Large Arena which show a number of different shows and

contests like rodeos, racing, tractor pulls, and much much more. Last is the food court where you can buy anything from potato

donuts, fresh milkshakes, pulled pork sandwiches, and many other tasty treats.

About The Farm Show

Every year in Harrisburg, PA there is the Pennsylvania Farm Show which is the largest indoor agricultural event in the country

having an estimated population of 400,000 visitors during the eight day event. The Show is always in the month of January, even

though the week has been changed several times, because many agricultural groups had meetings in Harrisburg during the first few

weeks of January and it was also the time of year that farmers started looking ahead at the oncoming season. This year the Farm

Show runs from January 10th to the 17th.
