High School High School Proficiency Exam (HSPA) The High School Proficiency Assessment is used to determine student achievement in reading, writing, and mathematics as specified in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. The test is administered in March of a student's junior year of high school.  First-time eleventh grade students who fail the HSPA in March will have an opportunity to retest in October and March of their senior year HSPA Results from March 2007: 159 students took the test. Language Arts Literacy 88.7% passed 20.8% advanced proficient Mathematics 73% passed 19 % advanced proficient Science 81.1% passed 8.8 advanced proficient Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Number of Belvidere students taking the test 92.   Percentage of class     66%. The average scores are as follows (800 perfect score).
